 It looks like I missed this when I hit 1,000 with Billy so ALL PURPOSE MEME.  All three of mine (Billy, Ronan, Cecil) are eligible for this.  IT GOES LIKE THIS:

1. You ask me questions! It can be about relationships, state of the union, icons, which characters I want people to app and why, which character type I could be talked into apping, etc etc. WHATEVER YOU WANT.
2. I answer the question and then ask you a question in return!
3. This goes on until one of us runs out of questions or forgets to answer.

state of the union for Billy now that Cassie's arrived!

IT'S CONFLICTED.

Billy's not unhappy that Cassie is in camp, but he is very concerned that he might have accidentally brought her back from the dead (which would suck). He's also aware that he can't tell her about her future and so feels pretty awful about lying to her about her place in things in the future. He's not as lonely as he could be, because he has some friends who drag him out of his depressive rut, but he's frustrated at himself for not being certain about what he might have done.

He's never really dealt with the grief that Cassie's death caused, so that's kind of bubbling to the surface as well, and he doesn't know what to do about that. He knows that he can't just curl up and wish everything would go away, because if it is his fault he has to fix it, and if it isn't then he has to maintain the lie that Cassie goes on to live the life that she wanted. So there's an element of grim determination there that Cassie never find out the real truth (even if he is not that subtle at all) and that if he has messed up that it will not stay messed up.

He does wish he could find an adult to tell about all of this and who can act as a guide as to what to do when your teammate (who died horribly and it was all his fault, so he thinks) comes back from the dead, doesn't remember anything that happened after a certain point, and that he has the ability to make things happen by wanting it hard enough and has used it in the past to bring someone from an alternate timeline. But, you know, there's the whole mother parasite thing that would cause them to turn around and beat him to death, which would kind of suck. So he is determined to fix it himself and never really let anyone know just how much it's messing him up.

in summary: Billy continues to make bad choices. IS ANYONE SURPRISED.

All right question for you: how is Cassie settling in to camp?

oh, Billy.

Cassie's doing well so far! It's not where she expected to end up, but it's definitely not the worst place she could've ended up. And she can handle weirdness pretty well. The Avengers from another universe were a shock, and the fact that they've never heard of her dad is one of the more upsetting things about camp, thus far. To her, her dad is such an important part of the Avengers, that it's hard to imagine him never existing. But beyond that, she's like the people she's met and none of them seem to have any problem with her being a superhero, so that's a point in camp's favor.

When it comes to Billy, Cassie's glad he's there with her, but she finds both the fact that he was apparently in camp for nearly a year on his own and the fact that he's from the future a little worrying. They're all a team and she doesn't like the idea of them not being there for each other, so she'll be making sure Billy's all right now that she's in camp. They're going to have fun and she's going to help him get his powers in control and they're going to find a way to keep mistletoe out of their cabin (a way that will likely fail). Also, if Billy asks her one more time to be careful, she's going to get even more suspicious. The things Billy is telling her about the future aren't entirely adding up in her mind, but the parts about her are so much the future she wants that she's not yet going to question whether that's the future she actually has. Billy's secret is safe for awhile.

... As for me, I'm having so much fun playing Cassie, if you hadn't picked up on that from the emails I've constantly been sending you!

Question! Give me a relationship update for Ronan and Jade!

THIS IS GOING TO SOUND WEIRD but Jade is honestly his closest female friend. (Sorry, Jade, but it's hard to beat Jaime for closest friend). She's seen more of who Ronan "truly is" than most people in camp have, but it hasn't affected his delicate dude pride of how much of a badass he can be. He really does genuinely want her to have something that doesn't suck, he can see that she's strived to improve herself, and he's honestly a little admiring of the growth she's had to be a stronger person in camp.

BASICALLY JADE IS ACTUALLY PRETTY COOL the end.

What does Cosima miss from her canon?

This is so belated, but! Cosima actually misses a whole lot more from her home than she lets on. In general terms, she really just misses her life there- her research and university and even her apartment. Cosima works hard for the life she has, but she also really enjoys it, especially the academic setting, and being away from it for really the first time since she started college is a little weird for her. Which is why she spends a lot of time down in the underground labs working on various projects, though the quality of the labs are far below what she's used to and she's not the kind of super genius who can just create and build her own lab so she's working with what she has. The only thing that makes her miss this all less is that currently in canon, she doesn't exactly have this right now due to complicated clone things, so it's easier to be without.

She also misses her clones, Alison and Sarah. She's grown quite close to them and even if she doesn't see them daily back home due to the fact that they live in Canada and she's at school in Minnesota, she at least talks to them or skypes with them. She probably checks her phone for their calls more than she likes to admit. Lastly, she definitely misses Delphine, but their relationship is so complicated that Cosima is almost glad for the space to try to figure that out. On the other hand, Cosima really hates long distance relationships (and their relationship is far from official) so that distance is also making things even more complicated. But that doesn't negate the fact that Cosima does care for Delphine a lot and has completely fallen for her despite her better judgement, so she's missing her a lot, but Cosima hasn't even told anyone about the complicated relationship that is herself and Delphine, so know one's aware that Cosima even has someone like that to miss back home.

BECAUSE YOU WERE NON-SPECIFIC, A DRABBLE THAT I CRAPPED OUT.

Sometimes, when the Camp administrative staff decide that you're free to go, a portal opens right in your path. It's uncommon, though it's hard to say just how uncommon given that anyone caught up in one would leave immediately. This time around, Jaime Reyes was accompanied by Ronan.

"It's mine," he says.

The two exchange glances.

"Well," Ronan says, trying to sound nonchalant about the whole thing. "This is it. Hopefully this time you remember how to stay away. Tell Traci I said hi, won't you?"

"Tell her yourself," Jaime says, and pulls Ronan through the event horizon with him.
