Physical traits: Billy's icons don't really reflect what he looks like for the most part, but as the new Young Avengers series progresses, I'll be substituting icons in. He's got his right ear pierced, his hair is parted on the right and swept across and now he styles his hair. He also dresses like a hipster. It's all very cute.

What's Okay To Mention Around Him/Her: I personally am not fond of the whole "lol you're fictional" thing. Other than that, he's up to date to the end of the second Young Avengers series!  He does not react well to LOL THAT TIME YOUR FRIENDS DIED but lbr no one in camp would know about that or would say anyway really.

Abilities: A N Y T H I N G okay I should be serious about this. Billy is a mutant sorcerer. I'm not sure what parts of his powerset relate to his mutation and what parts relate to the whole ability to channel magic thing but honestly it doesn't matter.

Billy's powers tend to work on three settings. Easy stuff he can do by just willing it to happen. Hard stuff he has to recite what he wants to happen by saying "I want..." and what he wants repeatedly until it triggers his powers -- when doing this he must be able to hear what he's saying otherwise it won't trigger his powers. And then there's the times where his powers do whatever they want and Billy may not have any memory of it.  You will definitely tell if something is going on with his powers - his eyes light up blue, there's a nice blue light show and it is about as subtle as a Michael Bay movie.

There's some implication that Billy subconsciously warps the world around him, but given that the source is Loki, he could be lying through his teeth.

Notes for the Psychics/Magically or Spiritually sensitive: You don't even know how complicated this is. To make this simple:

• Marvel mutant! Means he has an X gene. edit: APPARENTLY NOT? eh whatever it's not that big a deal, he thinks he is.
• Sorcerer! Has a lot of magic.  In fact, apparently has the potential to be a demiurge.
• Reincarnation of the magical+demonic ...construct child thingy of the Scarlet Witch
• He genuinely thinks his hair looks good.
• Was suicidal!  It seems to have been sorted out for now but lbr Billy makes bad choices like most people change their underwear.

Can I shapeshift/bodyswap/spit at/step on/etc?: Yes/Yes/Yes/Yes.
Hugging/kissing/other non-violent physical contact: Yes! But if his fiance comes to camp you're all screwed. :')

Other: LET ME TELL YOU THE STORY OF BILLY'S ORIGIN because this shit is bananas. Once upon a time a mutant sorceress lady decided she wanted to make babies with her robot husband. Using her magical powers she created two babies and for a while things looked okay ... until it turned out that the babies' souls were fragments of a demon's life essence and then they got reabsorbed into the demon and it was all very sad :( Then because of really weird reasons, the two babies' souls were reincarnated into two families, one in New Jersey and one in New York and apparently a reincarnation cycle is not linear or they travelled back in time. Anyway, these two boys look physically identical with the exception of hair and eye colour (though given that Jim Cheung suffers from a chronic case of sameface I'm not sure how we were meant to notice), despite not being biologically related to one another. Because comics.

YO DUDES so Billy's updating to the end of Young Avengers #9 because it seemed like a good idea at the time. Notable things:

• he has bruises and cuts on his face and probably other places too that are healing because Billy's healing magic is pretty erratic;
• he's not a happy dude;
• bad decisions were made;
• he may listen to terrible melodramatic breakup music despite the fact that they didn't break up.

He'll be pretty withdrawn for the most part but yeah. HEADS UP.

SO YOUNG AVENGERS #5 CAME OUT TODAY and finished off a story arc where CRAZY THINGS happened, mostly revolving around Billy making bad decisions. but what you need to know that is most important is that Billy has a new costume with a hugeass cape, because that is how his entire family (except Quicksilver and Speed) seem to roll. SEE BELOW FOR HILARITY.

Edit IT'S AN ACTUAL STARFIELD billy you are such a loser.

Billy and Teddy finally "see" a therapist, aka a psych trainee gives a psychological assessment of them.

I think my personal favourite part is where it's explicitly stated that Billy and Teddy are strongly committed to one another even despite the fact that they need to work on their communication skills.
